This weekend we had all the family in Delta for a great Christmas party. It's always fun to have everyone home. We played games, opened gifts and even had Santa visit! It's Bentlee's first Christmas so of course, she is more interested in the wrapping paper then the gift itself. Even though it's the Johnson's year off, this weekend felt just as warm as the traditional December 25th that we are use too. Thanks to everyone for making that weekend memorable!

This Halloween was a blast! A few days before Halloween we went to the Rexburg trunk or treat as ballet dancers. We then took off to Boise to spend time with the cousin's, Halle and Lexie. There we had another trunk or treat, and we had to use the pumpkin costume after Bentlee loved the taste of her tutu! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

TAKE A HIKE!!!

The other day we went on a hike up by Hiese hot springs with Bentlee. It was a small hike but fun with the small creek running down the side. I love the water in Idaho, it's like the crystal clear waters in the brita filter commercials. Bentlee was good. It got a little hot so we had to throw her blanket over her head. All in all, worth doing it again!

I am so excited to be able to finally show off our newest addition to our family....Bentlee Mae Hawkins, born May 17th @ 9:56 pm, weighing 7 lbs 2oz. We could not ask for a more beautiful daughter. This has the been the best journey I have ever experienced and although it took some time to have this little miracle join our family, I would do it over and over again. I love this little girl more than anything!!!!!

I just wanted to send out a post to my husband. He left saturday for Portland, OR for the summer. I will hopefully be meeting up with him SOON. But, I just wanted to tell him how much I LOVE HIM. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky. He works so hard to provide for us and although I probably complain more than I should. I don't know what I would do without him.

I was sitting here tonight looking through all my old pics and came across these ones and thought really??? Did I have that bad of taste back in the day? So, this was my PROM DRESS!!! I know, try not to let the BOW suck you in. Back in september I was home for awhile. One weekend, one of my little sisters was trying to find a dress for an upcoming dance. I always let them know that they are MORE than welcome to wear my lovely dress. But, still my offer has not been taken up on. Brianne and I were sitting in the room trying to help her out by pulling out some of our old dresses. With 3 older sister there has to be at least one in there to wear. Finally, we came across both of our prom dresses. Now, to this day all my little sisters hate this dress. Seriously, I will never hear the end of it. Well, Brianne wanted us to try it on and show our parents. So, here we are trying on our old prom dresses. What can I say though, I loved this dress back in the day and probably thought the BOW could've been bigger. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!!! Danielle, this one is for you.

Gymnastics at 26!!!

So, I have to share with you all what my sister-in-law and myself attempted tonight. An ADULT GYMNASTICS class. Brookelyn is taking classes and we found out that every wednesday at 7pm they hold a class for adults.... or should I narrow that down to bubbly little 18-19 year old ex cheerleaders.... and me and Brit. I am really sad because I took my camera wanting to take some pics to post, but when I got there and pulled it out I realized that my battery was home charging. Therefore, NO PICS SORRY. Probably a good thing though. To begin this class we start off by stretching. Then, the coach wanted us to do some handstands. Well, I was so scared that I would fall on my face that I would barely go up. I did a couple and the coach is looking at me in a weird way. Which I really don't blame him. So, he tries to show me how to do a handstand and turn my body to fall so I wouldn't hurt myself. Seriously I CAN DO A FREAKING HANDSTAND. To make my confidence lower, I look up and Mo and Nate who are watching from upstairs, are laughing at me!!!! We finally end that portion of the class. Next we all go get in a line and start to do cartwheels and handsprings. I start to do my cartwheels and on the way back he tells us to do them with the opposite hand. Are you kidding me???? I start the first one and OH BOY did I look like a fool. So feeling absolutely STUPID I stop and tell everyone they can go before me. I finally get back up and start doing another cartwheel and begged him to let me do it with my right hand and he said NO. Then he tells me that my cartwheels look like A 4 YEAR OLDS and he makes me finish doing them down the mat. All though my confidence needs a little booster and I will probably be asking Brookelyn to give me a one-on-one session on the BASICS OF A CARTWHEEL. I will rebound and become the next Shawn Johnson.

SO, Moses went to LA for work for a couple of weeks, and I was able to meet up with him for a couple of days. Let me tell you all how much I LOVE that city. Honestly, I could live there. We went and did a little sightseeing and were able to eat at the famous PINK hotdog stand. I now get to cross off california on my map across america.

New Years Provo style! We went to first night at the Provo Town center. They shut down all the stores, (bummer) but had a lot of fun activities and games. We watched a mini version of american idol, known as provo idol. We then went out to the freezing air and watched the ball drop! Fireworks and hope was in the air...2009 begins a great start to new adventures for our clan!!!

Well, let me start off by telling the WORLD how amazing my husband is. If any of you know him, know that it is very hard for him to keep ANY secrets. But, HE PULLED IT OFF!!!! My birthday was on friday the 12Th. (please note that in all your calendars for next year) So, one thing that i wanted was to have all my family up here to celebrate it. But, everyone kept giving excuses to why they couldn't come. I just figured it would be another year with my husband and myself. Which let say is not bad.... but its been kind of a tough year and I just wanted to be with everyone on this particular day. To start the day off Mo and I got up and had breakfast together and then he had to go into work for a few hours and planned on being back around noon to start the PARTY!!! That afternoon we went out to lunch and to a movie THE FOUR CHRISTMASES. After that we went out to do some shopping since we were already at the mall. Now, you have to understand we were planning on having dinner around 6:30m with Nate and Brit. So when 6:15 came around I was telling mo that we needed to get going and he was acting weird. He kept wondering if there was any other places that we needed to go. He then took the LONG route home. By the time we actually arrived it was 6:50pm. We go inside and I go over to the pizza's wondering why they had order so many. Out of the room MY FAMILY jumps out yelling SURPRISE!!!!!! The best present ever. (Besides the DIAMOND EARRINGS HE GAVE ME) That is why I have the BEST husband ever. I LOVE YOU MO!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving in Delta!!

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Delta. Oh, how I love spending the holidays with my family!! My heart will ALWAYS be true to DELTA. Alternating the holidays has probably been the hardest adjustment in marriage. I offered to give up Presidents Day and Columbus day if Moses would give me Thanksgiving and Christmas every year!!! Negotiation is still in the works......

Home for the Holidays

We have officially returned from Savannah, Ga. Although it wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world. We went through 10 total states before we got home. (South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, And finally Utah.) And our home is actually with our 'joint at the hip' family members Nate and Britney Johnson. We hope to find a FINALLY STABLE spot to call home in the Provo/Orem area. This will allow us to have some facial time with a lot more of you! And Hopefully for those of you that are a distance away we can actually make this more of a committed effort to update our blog! It's a lot warmer then Rexburg this time of the year, almost makes us wonder what to do besides sit inside by the fire place and complain about the 6 month blizzard. We look forward to the holidays and family time, and of course shopping! We hope all is well and wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year. Our goals go from Moses loosing his bulging back muffins to preparing Shellene to come out of retirement and back into the dental field, and of course, most importantly to expanding new additions to our family. May your goals follow you into the future with determination and more importantly success. We love you all, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Flag Football Gone Wrong

This morning the crew for work decided to play flag football. The day was hot, and the intensity was strong as all awaited to take out their aggression on each other. I decided to be Jed Thomas' whipping post, His elbow connected perfectly with my nose creating a gush of blood! I broke my nose. No bueno. I expected Shellene to be mad at me but she actually was very sweet. I entered the ER with my flags still connected and cleats with grass. Cameron Mero allowed me to use his white shirt that had now turned crimson red. NO ONE MAKES ME BLEED MY OWN BLOOD. The war has just begun Jed!
